Bob Morgan Making Inroads

Bob Morgan travelled to Canberra at Easter to compete in the ACT Tennis Championships.

Playing in the 70 men’s singles which is an ITF (International Tennis Federation) category 3 tournament Bob played well in a very tough field of competitors. Australia is well placed in the 70,s where the Australian team reached the semifinals in the World Championships in 2014. Bob played well against Ian Davis from Sydney ranked No9 in Australia going down 6/1 6/2

In his second round robin match Bob returned well and took it up to World No21 Hayden Rees from Melbourne losing a tough encounter 6/2 6/2.

On the second day of the tournament Bob teamed up with David Graham to win six matches in a row to take the 130 Combined Men’s Doubles. This follows their victory in the Australian Championships in January and runners -up in the same event in Melbourne at the Oceania Championships.

Bob is really on a roll and determined to make the breakthrough in forthcoming events in 2015
