More people participate in tennis for the social interaction more than for any other reason
Gemba Research, commissioned by Tennis Australia, shows the following motivations – Social interaction (42%) Relaxation (26%) Fitness (21%) and competition (11%).
Kiama Tennis Club is big on social tennis. Club membership including social tennis is from $120 per annum .
Every Sunday afternoon from 2pm or even earlier
Just arrive and make yourselves known. Non members are welcome for $5. Ask for Robert French, Jackie Parker, Diane Etchells or Howard Massey. You will enjoy the casual atmosphere and famous Kiama Tennis banter on the courts.

Monday mornings at 9am Ladies social tennis. Non-members welcome at $4 per session.
Tuesday Morning Early Gents from 7.30am. BBQ first Tuesday of the month. Just come along and join this vibrant group. You will get a good hit of tennis and generous banter.
Tuesday afternoon – after 3 pm a long established group of core members who would welcome new participants. Arrive and ask for Brian or Gerda Keast, Charles Sugar or Ray Hudson.
Wednesday morning – Mixed tennis (ladies and gents) is growing in popularity on Wednesday mornings from 8am – Give it a go. Visitors $4.
