Update2 – 19 October 2015
KTC has taken ownership of the Blow Hole assets being 2 courts and their funds on hand and absorbed the members into KTC. The Deed of Assignment of Lease for the Club has been agreed to and the assigned agreement is awaited from Crown Lands
KTC members wishing to play at Blow Hole need a key to access the Courts – there is a key available from Norma. On arriving at Blow Hole it is necessary to inform the Information Centre and sign the register with your name and a code word which is available from Norma which proves you are a member of KTC and do not need to pay to play
Update 1
Integration of the Clubs is in process awaiting the lease from Kiama Council
At a meeting with Kiama Council held last week it was agreed that a plan of works needs to be compiled to outline the work to be done to restore Blow Hole courts and surrounding area to meet improved playing standards. Part of this plan is works to be carried out by Council relative to retention walls and drainage needed to improve the current drainage issue. With final quotes being received relative to fencing, lighting and surface improvement, the work to be done will be managed with Council in the above plan
In order to be inline with budget as previously sent to all members via email from Bob Morgan further funding is currently being sourced via Grants and sponsorship
Your directors remain convinced that the integration of the Clubs will have a positive effect on our tennis community. To keep abreast of developments follow this web page. Updates to the status will be made as and when new information becomes available or you may email secretary@kiamatennis.org.au
The quotes are slowly coming in and we are currently looking at sourcing sponsorship to help with the costs of upgrading blowhole courts. Here are a few related pictures….
